Legislative Assistants

Nicholas Adams grew up in Randolph, Vermont and obtained a B.S. from the University of Vermont (UVM) in environmental science. During his time at UVM, he was a legislative aide for Former Representative Katherine Sims and a research assistant at UVM’s Gund Institute for Environment. He most recently interned for Senator Bernie Sanders at his D.C. office, working with the energy, environment, and labor teams and is now excited to get back into working with the Vermont Legislature. In his free time Nick likes to do anything outdoors, paint with watercolors, go thrifting, and garden.

Katie Regan is a Massachusetts native who moved to Vermont in the summer of 2023 after completing her B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College, MA. After graduating, she began working for the Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG) where she has door-knocked and field-managed for the past two summers. Leading up to the 2024 election, Katie was the Volunteer and Recruitment Director for a State Senate campaign, the Campaign Manager for a State Representative re-election campaign, and the Campaign Finance Director for the Vermont Attorney General re-election campaign. She is excited to begin her work as a Legislative Assistant with Action Circles where she will be able to deepen her love for organizing and the political process while learning more about the legislative process in Vermont. Katie was a member of the Wheaton Women’s soccer team and continues to stay active outside of her work life. She enjoys rock climbing, going to the gym, and spending time with her friends and family.
